Aamir Khan has put the failure of his last film Thugs of Hindustan behind him, and is now busy on his next project "Laal Singh Chaddha" and made announcement on his 54th birthday. It was during media interaction that Aamir made the announcement.
The 54-year-old actor revealed that "Laal Singh Chaddha" is an official adaptation of Tom Hanks's 1994 hit film Forrest Gump. The film will be directed by Advait Chandan of Secret Superstar fame.An official remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump.
Aamir Khan said that actor Atul Kulkarni shared the idea of Forest Gump adaptation during the shooting of Rang De Basanti. "During the shoot, he had shared that the Forest Gump is one of his favourite movies. I read the script after two and a half years and loved it. After that, I went behind taking the right of the movie" says Aamir Khan.
It is reported that Aamir will loose 20 kgs for Laal Singh Chaddha. Kareena, who will play Aamir's love interest in the film, went through a look test for it.
